Third RETIMAGER Annual meeting: Paris, September the 23rd 2026.

More than eighty years ago, in one of the most famous scenes in cinema history, Humphrey Bogart looked into Ingrid Bergman’s eyes at a fog-shrouded airfield and spoke a line that would go down in history: “We’ll always have Paris” (Casablanca, 1942). At that moment, the characters were facing an uncertain future, but that phrase was not looking back; it was a declaration of certainty. It meant that, whatever might happen next, there was a foundation of value, a shared achievement, and a common truth that no one could take away from them.
On September 23rd 2026, we will hold our annual Retimager meeting at PARCC Inserm premises in Paris: we will visit our own Paris. Our Paris is the knowledge we have already generated together, the data we have structured and the scientific and trusting bonds that join this consortium. In the face of complexity and technological challenges, we will always have the solid foundation of what we are building together through Retimager.
In that same scene, Rick Blaine realizes that “the problems of three little people don’t amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world.” He discovers that Science advances when individualism dissolves into the common good. None of our laboratories, research centers or companies can revolutionize the early detection of pathologies on their own; real impact arises from where we intersect. That iconic scene was filmed amidst a dense fog that obscured the horizon. Our mission at Retimager is working together to clear away that fog. We develop tools that will allow the doctors of tomorrow to see with unprecedented clarity, anticipating disease before it takes hold.
We remain committed to building our Paris, and we look forward to continuing our work together to bring light, vision, and a future to millions of people.
